mouse_clickYou and I have very limited attention spans, and that’s not completely our fault.

We live in a technology driven world where multi-tasking and speed are rewarded. Right or wrong, our culture suggests that we need to accomplish as much as we can, and do it as quickly and efficiently as possible, in order to be successful.

Our daily routines require that we stay in constant motion.  If an action outside of our main priorities takes too much time or effort, we abandoned it, and go to the next thing in line.

Three-Clicks
These days, that’s all you get.  Three clicks.  That’s it.  When you ask me to share content I find on your website or Facebook page, make it easy for me.  I am a consumer, a dad, an athlete and a working professional.  I have a lot on my plate already, and my time is precious.

If you ask me to do something, make it so I don’t have to work to hard to complete your request.  I’m giving you three clicks.  That’s all.  If it’s more, I’m may lose interest and just move on, close out, log off.  I may just visit the next website or page or blog and complete the action someone else is requesting me to take.  I may forget all about you all together and go about my day.

It’s not my fault.  I’m multitasking.  I have other priorities and an attention span that keeps getting shorter.  There are only so many hours in the day.

No hard feelings?
